School’s Out

After school, um, after school, when exactly does school end?  We seem to keep learning even after we close the workbooks.  But dinner still has to make it’s way to the table, the house must get tidied up, and we’re always up for a family vacation to escape the routine! Come along and see what we do away from the books and the pencils and papers.

Family Fun

As you peruse these pages, we hope you’ll come away with the feeling that we believe being a mom, a dad, a grandparent, a mentor, to a child is the most important job in the world . . . yes, that includes your job, Mr. Leader-of-the-Free-World.

See, as we teach and train children we affect the present and the future of all of us, but even more important we affect the eternal future of that child. Yep, that sounds trite, but nevertheless it’s true.

We’ve made choices in our lives that reflect our beliefs. We both stay at home with our kids instead of having a “career” and feel incredibly blessed that that choice has been made available to us. We homeschool our kids because we feel it’s the best possible education we could give our kids in our circumstances. We choose to attend church as a family and actively teach our kids faith, we choose to go on family vacations and family outings, we chose to have strong marriages and lasting family ties.

Not everyone is lucky enough to have our circumstances and the choices we make may not be the best for you. We’re not mad at you if you choose other things, we just hope you’ll understand that we don’t just talk the talk, we do our best to walk the walk.
