Garrett and Harrison helped me make these yummy chocolate chip muffins. Kids love to bake and it’s fun to bake with them. It turns a chore into an adventure.
2 cups flour
1 T. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. baking soda
2/3 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1/4 cup cooking oil or melted butter
2 t. vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
Here’s what you do:
The rest is simple. No need to worry about what order to put everything in the bowl in. Just dump and mix!
1. Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Dump everything into one bowl, letting your kids do the measuring and talking about the process and the fractions as you go.
3. Stir it up really well.
4. Grease twelve muffin cups or line with cupcake papers. Divide batter evenly between the muffin cups.
5. Bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for ten minutes before serving.
Here’s a printable version of the recipe in case you want to try them out on your kids. I’m not sure what they’re gonna like more – making ’em or eating ’em!
