Brownie in a Cup for Family Night

Nathan discovered this awesome, tasty and fun brownie in a cup treat at a friend’s house.  We tweaked the recipe and made it for Family Night the other day.

The best part was that each of the kids got to make their very own brownie in a cup – independence is so fun.  Here you see them in the assembly line, dipping out ingredients as they go down the line.

We store most of our baking goods in big ol’ buckets (with six kids we have large quantity food prep) so you see them measuring sugar, flour and cocoa out of the buckets in to their own cup.

Brownie In A Cup Recipe

1 T. baking cocoa
2 T. sugar
2 T. flour
2 T. cooking oil
2 T. water
dash salt
1-2 T. chocolate chips

Mix everything except the chocolate chips in a microwave safe mug.  Stir.  Microwave on high for 45 seconds.  Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top.  Let cool for a few minutes then eat!
